Our Year in Review: 2022
2022 – What a remarkable year it has been at Retail Prodigy Group!
We started off the year with a bang. In February, we opened the Exclusive Jordan Space at Melbourne Central; the first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.
By April, we celebrated the opening of another Samsung Experience Store, this time at Chadstone. Our first ever store space at Chadstone, this was a major upgrade from our previous kiosk in the precinct and a proud moment to become a larger part of The Fashion Capital.
SES Chermside followed suit in August, bringing another Samsung Experience Store to life and putting Samsung’s “Do What You Can’t” mentality into motion.
October quickly rolled around, and our team was seen in full flight at the Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival. Whether they were running, or racing around the Nike Melbourne Marathon Pop Up Store to help thousands of customers, RPG’s presence could be felt.
Our team then dashed across the Tasman Sea in record time to welcome the local Auckland community at Nike Auckland City, where we opened the first execution of Nike's new "LIVE" concept stores in the Pacific marketplace.
In addition to the opening and upgrades of several stores, we kicked huge goals towards our ambition to create learning experiences for all our leaders, in all levels of the business. We saw the first iterations of the Prodigy Leadership Academy and On-Point Leadership Program, which transformed the culture and performance of our teams in stores and throughout Support Office.
But no year would be complete without providing the Ultimate Customer Experience. In 2022, Retail Prodigy Group was recognised for doing just that. RPG won the Customer Experience Award at the Australian Retail Innovators 2022 Awards, and were a finalist for the Inside Retail Retailer Awards 2022 for “Customer Experience of the Year – Medium to Large”. Both identifying RPG’s dedicated approach to providing the Ultimate Customer Experience.
It’s safe to say, absolutely none of this would be possible without the support from our hard working and passionate teams across the entire business. And their feedback was what helped cultivate success, by their engagement and participation in internal Pulse and Culture surveys that were held throughout the year. We were able to celebrate and innovate together for the first time since COVID in June at RPG’s annual Conference, held at RACV Cape Schanck resort.
After an incredible year, we look forward to the year ahead and can’t wait to kick more goals in 2023!
